After a few months of waiting and anticipation, Auxo has finally made its way to iOS 8 devices. This morning Auxo 3 best multitasking jailbreak tweak has been release. The tweak includes the same Multi-Center, Quick Switcher, and Hot Corners found in Auxo 2.
For those who are unaware of what Auxo is able to do, its main function is to combine the multitasking switcher and Control Center into what is dubbed the “Multi-Center.” It does so by placing Control Center elements above and below your multitasking cards. Above the multitasking cards you have access to your toggles, with support for tweaks such as FlipControlCenter that allow you to customize your toggles. Below the multitasking cards you have access to circular brightness and volume sliders, with media controls in the middle. Flicking these controls up allow you to access media time controls and the quick app shortcuts (Flashlight, Clock, Calculator, Camera). On larger devices (such as the iPhone 6), there’s an option to move the toggles down, where they’ll be displayed above the media controls so they’re easier to reach.
Beyond the Multi-Center, there’s also the Quick Switcher. This extremely useful feature makes it easy to switch between open apps. Swiping up from the bottom left corner of the screen brings up the Quick Switcher and allows you to drag your finger across the screen to select an open app from an interface similar to the multitasking switcher. There’s also the Hot Corners, which allows you to quickly close an open app by swiping from the bottom right corner of the screen.
Auxo has been one of the most popular tweaks since its inception a few years ago, and for good reason. It’s an extremely useful tweak that truly improves the user experience. It’s worth noting that most (if not all) issues people reported with Auxo 2 have been fixed, and Auxo 3 seems to be a much smoother experience than Auxo 2.
